Free Pattern – Mendocino Sundress from Heather Ross


Here’s a fun free pattern from Heather Ross–just in time to start planning your summer wardrobe. This is her Mendocino Sundress, a simple-to-sew, easily customizable pattern that features an elasticized, smocked bodice that will fit most people. Heather also designed this dress with a flowing, full skirt and generous side pockets, perfect for a summer’s stroll on the beach… Download the pattern and instructions here.

The Mendocino Sundress pairs wonderfully with Heather’s fabric of the same name from FreeSpirit. “Mendocino” is inspired by Heather’s time on the coastline of northern California. Mermaids, seahorses and octopi make up the graphic elements of the line, while the colors include bright pinks, earthy oranges, sea blues and mossy greens.
