FabTalk is a blog all about fabric. On a daily basis, FabTalk highlights projects, fabric collections, patterns and more, intended to excite our readers about quilting, sewing, and creating with fabric. Daily posts often pair patterns with fabric, highlight clever quilting tools and gadgets, showcase books and provide useful tips for quilters and sewers. FabTalk is professionally written and maintained by the staff of The Fabric Shop Network, Inc.–the trade association for independent quilt and fabric retailers. The site launched in March 2007 and has steadily grown in popularity; in 2009, FabTalk’s average readership more than tripled, as the site adopted a new format for daily posts.
Readership
FabTalk’s readers often discover the site via The Fabric Shop Network’s virtual shop hop, FabShop Hop. This dedicated cadre of fabric shoppers is already enthusiastic about exploring fabrics online, so FabTalk naturally resonates with that audience. Via Facebook, we have tracked the demographics of readers, and determined that the largest segment of FabTalk readers are women, 45-65.

All FabTalk sponsorships require a minimum three month commitment. A FabTalk sponsorship includes a sidebar advertisement on the FabTalk website at FabTalk.net. Additionally, sponsors are encouraged to submit product information for possible inclusion in editorial content of the site and work with the FabShop staff to coordinate other potential opportunities (such as blog giveaways and inclusion in FabTalk social media outlets) that will help maximize your investment (sponsor content will be noted with federally-required FTC disclosures).
